What is the Travel Hackathon?

The goal of the Travel Hackathon is to create useful and innovative travel-related applications.

Organised by Kiwi.com, the event will start on Friday evening, November 24. This time, all the coding will happen on a train from Prague, Czech Republic, to Košice, Slovak Republic and back.

Idea examples

example1

Direction Guru

A web widget for concerts, events and hotels to show their customers how to get there. Provides personalised directions to each user based on their social network profile.

example2

Friend Stalker

Pretend you’re planning a holiday to either Rome or Istanbul. What if an app could tell you which of your friends have been to these places? You could check out their albums and chat to them about their experiences before making your decision.

example3

Cheapest Airport Getaway

You’re at the airport and you want to get yourself to the city. What about a simple app for comparing the available means of transport?

example4

This is an opportunity to develop your own ideas!
